The Electrical Installation & Maintenance course is a structured, competency-based training program approved by the National Skills Development Authority (NSDA).
It is designed to equip learners with the technical knowledge, practical skills, and safety awareness required to work as professional electricians in residential, commercial, and industrial environments.
The program runs for three months and is fully funded by the government, with no tuition fees. Learners are only required to pay a 200 BDT registration fee. Successful graduates will be awarded an official NSDA certificate, recognized both within Bangladesh and internationally.
Course Objectives
By the end of this program, participants will be able to:
Install, test, and maintain electrical wiring and fittings in accordance with national and international standards.
Read and interpret electrical diagrams, layouts, and load calculations.
Apply correct safety procedures when working with electrical systems.
Identify, diagnose, and repair faults in various electrical installations.
Prepare for employment in construction, manufacturing, facility management, and overseas projects.
Core Modules
Electrical Fundamentals – Current, voltage, resistance, power, and circuit theory.
Wiring Systems – Single-phase and three-phase installation techniques.
Load Calculation & Distribution – Determining cable sizes, breaker ratings, and distribution board setup.
Safety Regulations – Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), lock-out/tag-out procedures, and safe work practices.
Troubleshooting & Repairs – Fault-finding techniques for wiring, switches, lighting, and appliances.
